Don't accept 'gift' without asking questions

This old saying apparently stems from the fact one can tell a horse's age and general condition by checking his teeth for wear.

In the case of changing the zoning for the Southlands property in Tsawwassen to build houses, I presume, since we are supposedly receiving a "gift," we should not ask any questions and just accept it.

I hope our elected mayor and council don't abide by this old saying and I hope the vast majority of Tsawwassen residents who are against this development don't either.
