Don't be negative about TFN malls

Editor: Re: TFN readies property for mega malls, Oct. 31 I don't particularly want to participate in this debate but I have stooped. I am perplexed by the negative spin that is constantly being put on the mall proposal by the TFN.

I am perplexed by the negative spin that is constantly being put on the mall proposal by the TFN. It's always pointing the negative finger of sewage infrastructure problems and traffic woes in the future.

I'm not just talking about the weekly rants like this one, but the articles themselves. Why are reporters not looking at the positives like how many jobs it will create or the convenience of not having to battle the tunnel to shop with a larger variety?

This project will mean jobs. I don't mean only TFN members but all people now and in the future with retail, maintenance, security and construction positions right here in our backyard.

These could be local people working locally, thus reducing the carbon footprint, not to mention rush hour stress. How nice would that be?
