I fully concur with John Hegler's assessment and sentiments.

What stands out to me in Monty Robinson's actions at the scene of the accident that killed Orion Hutchinson was a clear attempt to cover up something he didn't want exposed, and his disregard for not only Hutchinson but also his children by getting behind the wheel of the car with them in it, in the first place.

As someone who had just collided with a motorcyclist who was lying on the ground before him, there were other options to spare his own family while attempting to help the victim.

He could have taken the children to any one of several homes in the neighbourhood and asked that they be shielded and cared for while he went about his humanly duty of trying to save someone else's life.

My heart goes out to the Hutchinson family as it does the children of Robinson, who may forever see their father for who he truly is. These two families bear the heaviest weight and have, by far, been handed the toughest sentence in this tragic case.
