I am a farmer from a long line of farmers in this community. I support Bruce McDonald in this election and will be voting for him on May 14.

My support is based on the quality of McDonald as a candidate and the policies of the party he represents.

I have lived in South Delta for the entire time McDonald has served this community so well. I have watched him as a councillor deal with many complex issues of importance to Delta. He has always brought a thoughtful and cooperative approach to dealing with these issues.

He has been a unifying influence in Delta. He does not pit environmentalists against builders, or one group of farmers against another group of farmers.

While I have loved being a farmer and "tilling the soil," farming is a business. Farmers cannot continue to farm, and thereby preserve Delta's farmland for future generations, unless they can make a living farming.

While I do not support everything the B.C. Liberals have done while they have been in government, they still represent our best chance to have a strong economy and improved infrastructure. For that reason, I and many other Delta farmers will be supporting McDonald in this election.
