I am writing in response to a letter published on Aug. 6 regarding a concern raised by a cyclist about Scotch broom on the ferry causeway.

On July 17, our Customer Care department in Victoria advised me that a customer contacted them about Scotch broom impeding the bike path. As the safety of all of our passengers is our number one priority, we assessed the situation and took action to address this concern.

I'm pleased to update your readers that our Terminal Maintenance crew has removed the bushes, which has widened the pathway once again.

We always appreciate hearing from our customers, as it assists us in making improvements to our service.
