Re: Fence on way to stop jaywalkers, Feb. 6 OK, you got me! I plead guilty! But I promise to quit jaywalking on 12th Avenue if Delta council will promise to put that $48,000 towards a better purpose. Possibly to the library, if Coun. Ian Paton will agree.
Honestly, when I have done this misdeed, drivers stop with an encouraging smile on their faces and wave me across, and I have never attempted to cross when traffic comes down 12th Avenue.
But I will mend my ways if council will keep its part of the bargain.
