The Liberals and Port Metro Vancouver have steamrolled ahead removing hundreds of hectares of food-lands to establish the Gateway Project and the South Fraser Perimeter Road in order to expedite container traffic out to Port Kells and numerous other already established Metro Vancouver warehousing areas.
Now Ron Emerson Real Estate and Lamington Heights Investments want to pave over almost 600 more prime Delta foodlands acres "closer" to Deltaport.
Why would we even remotely consider this when it will negate a substantial chunk of the billions spent on Gateway access to Port Kells, etc.?
The idea of losing even one more hectare of foodlands is not only scary, it is insane.
