Halloween night I had reason to not want to go to the door when kids came by for their trick or treats. I, therefore, put a large bowl full of candy by the door.
Two minutes after I had put out the bowl, I heard it clink against the umbrella stand. I wondered why that would be and went to look. The bowl was empty.
I was very disappointed that any child should feel free to empty the entire bowl (at least 50 bars and packages) and not leave anything for other children.
Any parent who reads this should check their child's Halloween bag and if they suspect it was their child who did, this they should teach him/her the principles of sharing.
