Inconvenience has given way to efficiency

I was one of the transit riders who was affected by the change five years ago and forced to transfer from the 601 bus to the Canada Line.

Initially I felt it was an inconvenience, but after a couple of months, I realized how much more efficient it was. As the traffic congestion has grown northbound on the Oak Street Bridge, I find it is a blessing to be able to bypass it all by being on the train.

My trips downtown now are consistently shorter - by at least 15 minutes. I may not always get a seat, but just knowing that I won't be late or stuck in traffic makes it all worthwhile.

The introduction of the Canada Line made me much more of a transit user, not the reverse. It is extremely handy and, in my opinion, a very inexpensive option to driving a car and finding parking.

Most people I know who travel by bus from Ladner seem to feel the same way I do. Our park and ride, which is free, is great.
