I hope the mayor doesn't get too enthusiastic with her "polishing" efforts. Granted we do need a new concession stand. But when I read of paving parking lots, providing a "plaza space," and leveling areas for this and that, I begin to get nervous. Development is like a cancer, once it starts it tends to creep along until it's too late. The next thing we will hear is plans to pave all the pathways, remove a few trees here and there etc.
The park is beautiful the way it is. Don't try to make it even "better." You can't compete with mother nature, you'll lose every time. Just maintain the park we have, and leave it at that.
