Ladner Village project still needs fine-tuning

As a Ladner resident who attended the Sept. 10 information meeting about the townhouse proposal at 47A Avenue and 48B Street, and listened to the public's comments, I still have major concerns that the project needs further revision to make it agreeable to our neighbourhood.

Even though the proposal went from a five-storey to a three-storey project, the newly proposed density is still much denser than what is presently on that site.

This project also should include more on-site green space - to make life more livable for any new owners - particularly in light of the potential removal of about 20 mature evergreen trees.

In addition, the proposal needs to be moved further back from busy 47A Avenue to avoid potential road safety hazards.

In summary, the developer's revised plan still needs more fine-tuning to fit in with our community.
