Re: A misguided concept letter (Optimist, May 12)
This letter is in defence of the Bridge Street pop-up park.
I really enjoyed it. It added a pop of colour and cheeriness to an otherwise drab streetscape and people seemed to really enjoy using it.
As for the negative impact on local businesses I disagree. I often ordered take out from an adjoining restaurant and sat in the pop up park to enjoy it. I suspect I was not the only one. If behaviour is an issue in the evening, perhaps the Delta Police could do a regular drive by and deal with it.
