I very much appreciated and agreed with Ingrid Abbott's column: predictable housing options damage our neighbourhoods (Optimist, Nov. 11).
As she says, we must embrace diversity and a variety of housing solutions.
I was disappointed in city council's decision re the townhouse development in Beach Grove.
I'm wondering--and this is a serious question--whether the 625 names on the petition against it might be polled again, now that they have heard young people and many others speaking up, even pleading for this, offering reasonable and thoughtful responses to concerns. Polled again, that it, and asked to sign a petition with a request that this development be re-considered.
