Missing when the RBT2 announcement was made April 20 were two key cabinet ministers most associated and responsible for this development.
Where was Environment Minister Guilbeault? Where was Minister Qualtrough the MP for Delta?
You might expect the minister whose decision it is and the minister in whose riding the project will be built to be at the announcement and both to have made statements on the day of the announcement.
Instead the announcement was made by the Minister of Natural Resources. Unless the plan is to drill for oil on the RBT2 man-made island this project has nothing to do with Minister Wilkinson.
Nothing has been heard from the Environment Minister. Minister Qualtrough is said to be (conveniently) out of the country and other than a brief statement in the Optimist on April 26 has been silent.
