Re: Vehicle overpass is needed at this intersection (Optimist, letters, Sept. 14)
We don’t need overpasses, we need roundabouts.
There is lots of evidence the roundabouts prevent collisions and are a lot cheaper to build than overpasses.
If they put roundabouts along Highway 1 all across the prairies, people would be a lot safer.
And roundabouts would work well in Ladner as well.
Best thing about them is that unlike intersections, traffic keeps moving.
