Last week my husband and I were walking the dyke at the south end of 72nd near the golf course.
From behind us came three guys on electric bikes going what seemed to be a high rate of speed. They raced passed us and although we were not in any immediate danger we were startled.
More often than not people do not warn you that they are behind you and are about to pass.
I am not against e-bikes, however, I am concerned that someone will be struck and the consequences will be dire. Families, individuals, dogs and horses use this area. It truly is a pleasurable place.
Please remember that using a motor vehicle on the dyke is a privilege. Please slow down and think of others.
