Re: parking on River Road West
The following letter was sent to Delta council and copied to Delta Optimist
The general public and we have enjoyed walking the dike with view of the river, super port, Salish Sea and mountains for decades. Parking has been permitted on special wide shoulders to the road.
We welcome improved parking facilities recently provided further upstream. Recent sign changes now prohibit parking on the shoulder near the best access to the public walk. People with limited mobility find it too difficult to get to the view.
Please explain why historic public parking privileges have been revoked and restore them now.
