Editor:

I often read postbag articles about persons who have been helping other people in our environment.

Like in the most recent edition of the Optimist: Ms. Eyolfson thanking Save-On staff and Ms. Irene Douglas with her tipped over electric wheel chair.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Delta Police officers involved in the incident where an Affected Person (AP) passed away. It happened months ago but the tension/stress factor for the officers has been enormous. That is a fact. Awaiting an investigation from IIO (Independent Investigation Office) knowing that you, the Law, did everything what needed to be done to get this individual out of a stolen taxi risking many people's lives in that early morning.

The report concludes the AP was intoxicated with Methamphetamine.

I try to find the right wording to express my respect and gratitude to the officers involved.

I wish you with my family a great Christmas and thank you very much for keeping us save! The dangerous job you are doing day & nights keep us save.
