Jaime Gusto describes a reality that many nice people overlook because they want to believe that racism does not exist in Delta.
Or if it does exist, then the best thing to do is just keep the peace.
And by that they mean white peace.
Racism is more than a concept or a label. It is real life.
The silence from nice white people is deafening.
I applaud Jaime Gusto’s courage to tell the truth.
