Letters: Tsawwassen is a dangerous place for pedestrians

Got rid of my car after retiring two years ago and decided walking was a less stressful way of getting around. Wrong, with the lack of enforcement in the area, it has become dangerous.

I have lost count of how many times that cars have nearly hit me as well as my grandkids in crosswalks. Speeding is out of control and now adults on bikes think it is okay to race down our sidewalks. Kids get a pass adults should be more responsible.

With all due respect to the Delta Police the last time you we’re dispatched to the corner of View Crescent and 56th St., I was across the street watching the show from beginning to end. I was not impressed one bit. As was stated in the Crime Beat column in the Optimist, ‘no Infractions.’ Really, are you for real? I was watching you standing outside the yoga place looking at your shoes and obviously very bored. As a taxpayer I feel our community deserves better.
