On Tuesday (Aug. 1), MOTI crews were out in the afternoon, painting lines and putting up signage indicating that southbound travel across the structure has been reinstated using the northbound HOV/transit lane.

The part of Highway 17A overpass hit was the portion originally built with the Deas Island Tunnel.

It is long past it’s useful life and has a substandard vehicle clearance.

If the NDP had accepted the bid, which was $900M below budget to upgrade this corridor, this would be have been a new bridge by now. Instead the NDP recently spent lots of money putting lipstick on a pig.
