Delta Hospice board not acting in Christian manner

The board of the Delta Hospice Society is putting the future of the hospice at risk, apparently to provoke a last-gasp showdown between modernity and a nostalgia for Christian supremacy.

For nothing more than a symbolic slap in the face for the vast majority of people who respect the pluralism of our society, they risk bankrupting the society with legal bills and squandering the goodwill the hospice has built over decades.

Board members may content themselves that the ends justify the means, but their crusade for a theocratic, exclusive Christian society employs the most unchristian methods imaginable. If Angelina Ireland and her band of zealots are deliberately trying to turn this community against Jesus, they're doing a bang-up job.

I would urge those in Delta who cherish genuine Christian compassion to stand up loudly and declare that these values are betrayed by the radical extremists who are holding our hospice hostage.
