I write as Chief Neil Dubord's statement does not go far enough. First, he does not condemn his wife's behaviour of allegedly hosing down Kiran Sidhu and body shaming her as well as stating that she doesn't belong here.
As far as his statement of DPD being transparent and accountable, that defies the four-day investigation and closing of the file. His lack of leadership in this sensitive matter disqualifies him to lead the DPD.
I realize that South Delta is mainly a white community and this matter may not receive the attention it deserves.
