I have been driving a 100 per cent electric car for over four years in Delta and I’m thrilled to see the city apply for federal assistance in funding new E/V stations for Delta.

While most people charge their car at home, it is always convenient when a charger is nearby if you are at various locations around Delta and you are running low.

Maybe one day the city can approach BC Ferries and jointly install E/V chargers at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. There is always a wait at the terminal and this would be an ideal place to have a charger.

Also, BC Ferries has been asked if it would consider having electric vehicle chargers on new ferries with routes that are about two hours long. Unfortunately, according to its website, it doesn’t seem interested at this time.
