He’s one reliable and conscientious newspaper carrier

Our Delta Optimist carrier (Jacob) has been delivering our newspaper every Thursday without fail as long as I can remember. This past Thursday the paper did not arrive as usual so I called the distribution department the next day and was told Jacob had been on holiday and someone else was taking care of his deliveries and the paper would arrive today.

Of course it did and Jacob left me the following message attached to the newspaper: “Sorry that you did not get your paper delivered yesterday, my dad was on paper route duty and must have had a little bit of a mess up.”

How wonderful that this young man took the time to write me a note to explain what happened. Jacob is a credit to his family and the Optimist. With young, reliable and conscientious people like Jacob, it’s nice to know that our future is in good hands.

Well done, Jacob.
