On behalf of myself, the executive and staff of the Legion, Delta Branch #61 in Ladner, we wish to extend a huge vote of thanks to our community for its support during these challenging times.

The Legion has contributed to our community for over 90 years and it is wonderful that we are now receiving much needed support from the community, various organizations and our own Ladies Auxiliary. We are keeping our head just above water, thanks to the many generous donations from the Go Fund Me page set up for us by Laura LaBounty (a huge thank you to her for doing this) and direct donations to the Legion. In addition, we have applied for every bit of government and services relief that we are able to.

Our executive and volunteers, including our branch manager, have been hard at work during the closure. They have been taking care of business on hand and doing some necessary repairs, so thanks to all of them. Special thanks to Dave Olson who volunteered his time to paint the interior of the lounge so it will be clean and fresh when we reopen.

Staff are ready and anxious to return to work and provide you with the exceptional service you are all accustomed to. We are looking forward to participating in whatever may be the new “normal” for service during the restart of business activities. Rest assured, our primary focus will always be the health and safety of our members, guests and staff.

Once again, thank you to all who have contributed with donations and time. We look forward to seeing you all once we reopen.

Stay safe.
