Pioneers sent packing to North Delta

Once again I feel compelled to write another letter complaining about how the Ladner Pioneers lacrosse team has been treated.

Here we are playing in the finals of the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association against Nanaimo. Guess where we are playing contrary to what the City of Delta and the Vancouver Giants told us earlier this year?

We were told we would not be outed from the Ladner Leisure Centre but contrary to this understanding, we have been delegated to Sungod Recreation Centre in North Delta because the ice is now in Ladner.

Three lacrosse home games maximum, if necessary. Could they not have waited?

We in the lacrosse community felt that this year we would get to play our final games in Ladner. Too bad we had to move so the Giants could have the ice time for practice.

I am a lacrosse fan and have volunteered for 40 years. I am also a Delta Ice Hawks time keeper and have volunteered for over 20 years. I am not one-sided but truly disappointed.
