Thank you, Barrie McDonald, for your letter. And yes, the 52nd Street stop sign at the top of the hill has no purpose other than being a useless traffic obstruction.

Also, at the same intersection, travelling north and turning onto Upland Drive, the curb has been moved into the middle of the intersection so the natural (and previous) right turn lane is no longer doable. After over a year of digging up that section of road over and over, it is now impossible to make that right hand turn and stay in the right lane. Try it.

These projects are extremely expensive yet there seems to have been no project management, and certainly no site visits.

This 52nd Street and Upland Drive intersection looks to be engineered by the same people who designed the Highway 17A merge with Highway 17. We deserve better for our money.
