'Lifer' says it's about time to shake those cobwebs

Contentious issues in my town - from the Southlands (even when the Spetifore family owned it many years ago) to the Pillars Inn land - have always been apparent and it's always been about development.

Nothing here ever changed because no one wanted change.

Let the other communities deal with it. "We don't want that here." The locals and politicians always put a stop to it.

My point is that it's ludicrous to blame the TFN solely for the impending traffic issues when the port is able to do what it wants.

Think about this: the more tax dollars the municipality collects, the better chance our friendly politicians have to a salary increase and we all know how hard done by they are.

I think it's all just sour grapes because they won't get a sliver of TFN's well deserved pie. Most people I've spoken to look forward to the new shopping experience and are in support of TFN plans.

It's about time someone shook the cobwebs out of this stale mausoleum. Did I say that out loud?
