Thank you for your in-depth article on the Paterson Park vision.
We, the Delta Seniors' Planning team, would like to clarify a couple of points. I was quoted as saying that a memory care centre would be better than drugging and warehousing seniors in long term care facilities. Although this does occur in some facilities I certainly want to be clear that there are many very good long-term care facilities including here in Delta.
The article went on to say that the vision included building a seniors center to replace McKee Seniors Centre. In fact it was suggested that a second community activity centre for all ages could be part of the vision. There was also mention of a student residence however that is not part of this plan.
