Warren Wolfe writes purporting to complain generally of "poor campaign" behaviour. Wolfe does not state which of the Delta South campaigns has caused him concern, but on behalf of Bruce McDonald's campaign, I would like to set the record straight.

McDonald has treated Vicki Huntington with respect throughout this campaign. McDonald has a universally accepted reputation in this community for civility and cooperation, based upon his 20-plus years of serving the people of Delta.

He has not and will not tarnish that reputation in this campaign.

To point out flaws in the resume of a political opponent, backed by facts, is neither to lie nor to act inappropriately.

As for signs, prior to the start of the campaign the McDonald team contacted Delta and committed to abide carefully by all sign placement laws and has done so.

Huntington has placed signs where signs were not allowed and she was required to remove them (although her illegal sign on the South Fraser Perimeter Road berm remains in place).

The bulk of McDonald's large signs were placed on private property, in the fields of farmers who wished to show their support of McDonald by giving him their permission to place the signs.
