After five months in Delta Hospital and 17 months in the full care facility at KinVillage, I am compelled to voice my gratitude for the excellent treatment and care that I received.
We are truly lucky to have such establishments together with their staffs right here on our doorsteps. At one time my situation in Delta Hospital was so dire that I had to be transported to Surrey Memorial Hospital where more advanced treatment was possible for a few days. This was indeed a credit to the Delta Hospital staff to recognize the limitations and availability of their equipment.
Likewise, with help from all the caring, encouraging and supportive staff in KinVillage, I became sufficiently independent to be released home to my family. It was evident that the other residents were also subjected to this kindly treatment.
While one never really wants to find themselves in a care home, all I can say is that KinVillage provided the services and loving care to make my stay there so pleasant and rewarding.
There have been too many people in both establishments to name but I hope they will hear of my gratitude.
May our residents and politicians continue to support the medical facilities that we are so fortunate to have here.
