With the City of Merritt conducting a pilot project for a four-day work week, the Optimist wondered what Delta residents thought about the idea.
The Optimist ran its online poll from Sept. 28 to Oct. 3 asking the question: should we switch to a four-day work week?
Of the 346 votes, we can determine that 146 are from within the community.
The full results are as follows:
Yes, work commitments are growing and life is too short. 57.53% local, 62.14% total
I like the idea but I'm worried about how it would impact the economy. 19.18% local, 15.61% total
No, five days a week is the right amount. 23.29% local, 22.25% total
Results are based on an online study of adult Delta Optimist readers that are located in Ladner. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 5.23%, 19 times out of 20.
