It's truly shocking to review statistics from the last election in 2011 and see that only 33.5 per cent of Delta voted.
When you factor in those who didn't vote as well as those not eligible to vote, it's truly frightening to think that major community decisions are being made by some councillors who only received support from about 10 per cent of the population.
These are multi-million-dollar decisions about our homes, our streets, our parks, the environment, our water, our sports facilities, our taxes and much more.
If you care about your community, please come out and vote on Saturday. Drag your neighbours, friends and relatives along too.
Let's aim to get a much broader, more accurate representation of what our Delta needs.
