Editor: Re: Keep dogs on leash near newly seeded field, letter to the editor, March 21 A smart reader wrote regarding the concern of dog owners running their pets on the farmer's field north of 17A Avenue in Beach grove Road.
On Monday, the farmer turned over the field in preparation for planting. I plead with dog owners, and all concerned witnesses, to ensure the farmer's livelihood is respected and we all ensure that his crop of organic produce is safe from pollution from animal feces.
If you witness abuse of this private property by dogs and their handlers, please voice to them the error of their actions.
