For the past three weeks I have had to make several emergency trips to our Delta Hospital to stop a severe problem I developed for the first time in my life.
We seem to constantly hear negative comments about our health system in general.
For me, I can say we are extremely fortunate to have this little hospital available to us 24 hours a day.
The dedication by the ER staff, including the fine doctors, nurses and administration, was far beyond my expectations of any ER in any hospital.
Yes, I did have long waiting periods each check in but I was made as comfortable as was possible at the time.
In my opinion, they all deserve a gold medal and a huge thank you for getting me through it all. For a while things looked a little bleak for me.
