I remember you making comments about the raises Delta council members gave themselves that were way above the cost of living. We, as taxpayers, were not given a chance say yes or no to these increases.
Now we have the unions coming to Delta council asking for money. I hope they give the union some type of raise because if council turns the union down of the grounds that Delta has no money, then where did the money come from over the last three years to pay Mayor Lois Jackson and the rest of her council?
As long as the demands by the union are reasonable, why shouldn't they get a raise? Just food for thought.
