'Socialist chameleon' gets four more years

The re-election of President Barack Obama is a disaster for America.

The socialist chameleon is determined to disfigure America by implementing a welfare state that smothers the pursuit of happiness with entrenched dependency and subverts the U.S. Constitution with a stealth invasion of state and local authority. Obama's abominable health care law is the prime example.

The continuing divide between urban and rural voters in America is disquieting. Obama swept the northeast, Pacific and Great Lakes while Mitt Romney won most of the south and rural west.

Are the tens of millions of young voters, enchanted with Obama's vanity rather than scrutinizing his policies, happy to drown in debt? Are they oblivious to the farmers, foresters, factory workers and miners who produce all of the things they take for granted?

Obama's inveterate hostility to free enterprise will extinguish all of those industries.

But Obama does not have a blank cheque. The Republicans control the House of Representatives and can filibuster in the Senate. And five of nine U.S. Supreme Court justices are Republican appointees. There are many bitter battles ahead.

Vice President Joe Biden viciously accused Republicans in front of a black audience of wanting to "put y'all back in chains." How ironic then that millions of whites, blacks and Latinos have twice voted to travel down the road to serfdom. America may be at the point of no return.
