I have to say, and it is a bit of an understatement, that I was flabbergasted with Peter White's comments regarding Southlands and his notion that the only people who can comment are those south of 16th Avenue to the border.
As Joyce Schmidt mentioned, she is a former Tsawwassen resident now living in Ladner. I have lived in Tsawwassen and Ladner for the past 55 years and this is the first time I have ever been advised that I don't live in the same municipality as White.
I am 100 per cent behind the Southlands proposal. It seems that it will provide an economical and viable alternative when my wife and I downsize in the near future.
I would suggest to White that there are a lot more people than he would like to believe who are in favour of an intelligently planned community like the Southlands. I am looking forward to the development.
