The Port Mann toll is literally highway robbery. My sister-in-law visited me last month from Dubai. She drove her daughter across the Port Mann twice a day every Saturday for a month. That's $6 per day.
When she was putting her truck in storage she found out she had an outstanding account of $93.80. Something didn't add up. Then she was told that because she did not pay each toll within one week, a surcharge was applied of $2.30 to each trip.
That's a penalty of 76 per cent of the actual toll.
