Take on RV park is accurate

One point she made - that "Arizona is the white supremacist capital" - is not quite accurate. People in these RV parks are not from Arizona. They are from all over the U.S., including Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, Kentucky and others.

Racism is alive and well and there is no shortage of "N" words in general conversation.

We remove ourselves from any such conversations immediately. Eventually, they get the drift. Well, some of them do.

Arizona, like the rest of U.S., is gun crazy and the laws regarding purchasing and selling guns are outrageous. One of our neighbours, from New Hampshire, bought six handguns. He decided to sell one and put and ad on Craigslist. He met the fellow in a parking lot and exchanged gun for money. All perfectly legal because the purchaser had an Arizona driver's licence.

Why do we go? Well, besides the weather, there are still a lot of lovely people there that don't hold such views.

I, for one, appreciate the direct and honest observations of ML Burke and she has every right to express them without being labelled an embarrassment.
