Never mind: "How do we help people eat better?"

When technology addiction takes over our increasingly sedentary lives, less physical activity is required on a daily basis. Shopping, paying bills and social networking can all be done from behind the stationary comfort of our computers.

It's time for us to ask why so many folks are so friggin' large? Surely, the answer stares right back at us from those digital screens we have become inexorably glued to ... 24/7.

Technology overload has led us to "overloading" our bathroom scales, and we have become a tangled mess of BlackBerrys, emails, PDAs, iPhones, laptops and cellphones.

Texting has taken the place of people talking.

Screen time is trumping "people" time ... and the only winners are a thriving weight loss industry.
