Re: Traffic impacts to be 'insane,' May 9

I cannot think of a better word than insanity to describe the predicted traffic congestion that we can expect along Highway 17 if and when the proposed Tsawwassen First Nation mall developments are complete.

What a pretty picture it will be to see thousands of motor vehicles an hour trying to move along Highway 17 on a Saturday afternoon!

And since TFN is a separate entity, with its own laws, it doesn't need to cooperate with us, does it? We have no say on what this community does.

I also feel the word insanity can be applied to the proposed development of the Southlands. After all, when it comes to development, the developers stand to make a lot of money, which will come at the expense of the quality of life of residents of South Delta.

Therefore, it is difficult for some of us to be cooperative and not to feel separated.
