Thank you to Delta council for having the traffic lights at 1st Avenue and 56th Street installed.
Gone are the near-misses and accidents-waiting-tohappen, especially to those turning north while drivers line up down the hill to get their mail-orders and gas from Point Roberts.
And the much, much bigger "Do Not Block Intersection" sign is very imposing, very visible and readable: Everybody sees it; everybody heeds it. No doubt traffic along English Bluff Road and through the side roads has declined, too.
Council members will never learn of the accidents they prevented - just know that you've headed them off at the pass.
