Transit police deserving of praise

As I was departing the train on Thursday, April 25 at the Canada Line Vancouver Centre Station at about 1: 30 p.m., I experienced some difficulty.

I was using my cane for the first time and I lost my balance. I nearly toppled into the path of the outgoing train.

Had it not been for the quick action of two transit police officers (Edgar and Keith), the outcome could have been tragic.

These two gentlemen offered me their arms and escorted me from the SkyTrain Station to the Orpheum Theatre where I met up with my friends. My daughter, seeing me escorted by two police officers, exclaimed, "Mum, what have you done?"

The exemplary behaviour of these officers should not go unnoticed. Too often we hear of negative behaviour and forget to acknowledge the positive.
