The "word" from around the water fountain at municipal hall is that the Southlands development is a "done deal" or a "fait accompli."
Should the "word" be found to be true, and as Lance Armstrong learned, the truth will prevail, our elected officials will have their credibility and reputations in tatters.
They might also be subject to a class action from irate taxpayers.
