I can't help but comment on the letter from Mr. Bolen which is laced with inaccuracies.

If protecting our neighbourhoods and farmland from development is making Tsawwassen stagnant - I am all for stagnation.

Contrary to statements made that - 1. our hospital is at an increased risk of closure; 2. businesses are closing in the town core; 3. seniors are forced to leave the community to find housing - are all untruths and actually just the opposite is taking place.

Granted the library is on shaky ground but so are libraries around the globe. Blame the Internet. A school closure was done to save money but what is the answer - get families to move in so it can re-open?

I could go on but we must face the fact that Tsawwassen has reached a saturation point in how many residents it can handle. The traffic on 56th Street is an example and just try and get parking in the town core on a busy Friday afternoon. The ice arena and the swimming pool are both running at near capacity now and will get much worse when Tsawwassen Springs is on stream.

All this and we still haven't addressed saving our precious farmland.
