Upgrade of Highway 10 through East Ladner is still not finished almost 10 months later

Last July my nine-yearold son and I left for a three-week driving tour of the United States. It took us from here to Montana, from there to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, and then on to Springfield, Missouri.

Thereafter, we drove what is left of Route 66 back to Los Angeles. After a visit in Hollywood and Disneyland where my daughter joined, we ventured north along the California and Oregon coasts until we returned to the wonders of South Delta.

After nearly 8,500 kilometres, I was very impressed with American interstates and how they manage the summer construction season. Of course, we returned to Ladner to encounter the refurbishent of Highway 10 through East

Ladner. No problem, right? I was glad to see it being upgraded.

But, really, why are we still dealing with it almost 10 months later? This is a total joke! I am tired of rattling across this stretch and will need new shocks soon. What the heck is going on? When is it going to be a real road? Totally unacceptable!
