Isabel Ferretti says she's lived in Tsawwassen for seven years and the only farming she sees being done on Southlands is by Earthwise. Really? I suggest she visit the area of 56th Street and 6th Avenue in order to look at the large swath of land being nicely farmed. Potatoes appear to be prolific and the land looks tidy and nicely tilled.
Ferretti is wrong in saying that many people in this community do not support Earthwise. Has she even been there? The farm store, open two days a week, is popular with many subscribing to the CSA boxes.
The monthly summer events are fantastic, with vendors selling a variety of products and on occasion visitors are even entertained by local musicians. It's a place for people of all ages, and is well supported by Tsawwassen residents. I love taking out of town visitors to Earthwise and they are always delighted.
