ML Burke should spend less time philosophizing and instead get the facts straight. Rental units have been dropped from Marina Garden Estates proposed build-out.

The Marina Garden Homeowners Association is not anti-development.

We fully expect final build-out under existing bylaw, which we purchased under.

What benefit is there to seniors when the proposed seniors' residence has been dropped and the 312 town-homes will be three-and-a-half storeys high?

Oh yes, we do have the five-storey apartments if one doesn't mind the 23metre (75-foot) structures in our "wealthy" neighbourhood.

My sons, aka young people, and myself had to purchase first homes in the Fraser Valley and not on the water between a golf course and marina. In plain English, you don't start at the top.

The traffic study appears biased in favour of the developer, as one would expect. It has serious flaws, which we will expose. Trust me, Ladner is in for a traffic shock.

The 752-car parkade doesn't address the problem. It addresses the symptom - absurdly high density - and creates another problem. Google parkade crime and one will find parkades have become a haven to the criminal element.

Search crime mitigation anywhere in the development application and you won't find it. We will all experience your "desirable and safe haven" after this presumably unlocked parkade is open.
